Bio: Bill Wyatt

Bill Wyatt began serving as the Executive Director of the Salt Lake City Department of Airports (SLCDA) in November 2017. The SLCDA operates Salt Lake City International Airport and two reliever airports, South Valley Regional Airport and Tooele Valley Airport.  Previously, Wyatt spent 16 years as the Executive Director of the Port of Portland where he oversaw four marine terminals, two general aviation airports and Portland International Airport (PDX).

Prior to his appointment as the Port’s Executive Director, Wyatt served as Chief of Staff to former Oregon Governor John A. Kitzhaber for seven years, preceded by six years as President of the Oregon Business Council, and five years as Executive Director of the Association for Portland Progress, then, Portland’s downtown development association.  Wyatt served as a state representative from the Astoria, Oregon area from 1974 through 1977.

Ryan M. Davis is the Federal Security Director for the state of Utah to include: Cedar City (CDC), Moab (CNY), Saint George (SGU), Salt Lake City (SLC), Ogden (OGD), Provo (PVU), and Vernal (VEL). He started this position on March 28, 2021.

Mr. Davis’ career with TSA started on November 4^th, 2002 where he was sworn in as a Transportation Security Officer at Denver International Airport (DEN). Throughout his TSA career, Mr Davis has worked as a TSO, LTSO, STSO, TSM, DAFSD-S and AFSD-MS promoting up through the ranks to his current position as the Federal Security Director. Mr. Davis has an in-depth knowledge of the Transportation Security Administration Security Operations and Mission Support. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in June of 2014.

Mr. Davis is married to his beautiful wife, Erica, of eighteen years and he has two children. Outside of work he enjoys fishing and outdoor sports, while spending time with his family.

The Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) is operated and managed by the Salt Lake City Department of Airports, a department of Salt Lake City Corporation. Salt Lake City's Mayor, the City Council and a nine-member advisory board of citizen volunteers oversee its affairs. The department also operates South Valley Regional and Tooele Valley Airports. 

SLC is the 21st busiest airport in North America and the 70th busiest in the world. More than 370 flights depart daily to 99 nonstop destinations. SLC is currently undergoing a $4 billion redevelopment program, the first phase of which opened in September of 2020. The project is being funded by user fees--primarily by airlines serving SLC--as well as savings, car rental fees, passenger facility charges and airport revenue bonds. No local tax dollars are being spent on the project.
