Speakers
Brian Torgersen - Director, Provo Airport

Brian Torgersen is a licensed Professional Engineer who received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Utah in 2007. While in school, Brian worked in the large commercial construction industry at Jacobsen Construction Company, but learned quickly that civil engineering and construction was his passion. Brian began his professional career at Civil Science, a private engineering consulting firm, where he specialized in transportation design and construction oversight on municipal and DOT projects.
Brian’s expertise in municipal and DOT projects led him to a career in the public sector, joining Provo City’s Engineering Division in 2010. Brian served as Provo City’s Traffic Engineer and Capital Projects Engineer until 2017 when he was appointed as Provo City’s Public Services Director which included oversight of the Provo Municipal Airport (PVU)
Brian’s involvement at the airport and his expertise in design and construction led to his role in leading the development and construction of PVU’s new passenger terminal facilities in 2019. In November 2021, as the new terminal facility neared completion, Brian was appointed as the Executive Director of the Provo Airport where he has continued his dedication to getting things done, ensuring the Provo Airport meets the highest standards of safety, customer experience, and compliance with federal regulations.
